LoveShackFancy Resort 2023

As Rebecca Hessel Cohen’s LoveShackFancy empire continues to expand, so does her ready-to-wear line (and ongoing collaborations). The brand recently opened a store in Nashville, expanded its home collection, launched sunglasses, and set its sights on new retail destinations in the U.S. and Europe.

The proof is in the resort pudding, which offers an ultra-girly (and mostly pink) take on the iconic romanticism, flirty party girls and gorgeous Victorian-style evening wear, Aspen ski bunny layers, beach resort wear and more. There was even a fun matching shoe collaboration with Larroudé.

The look: “A story of glamour and travel,” reads the collection notes.

Quote: “We literally took our girl from New York to London to Paris to [around the world],” Hessel Cohen tells WWD. “She was around the jets and we wanted to make sure we had her covered; we’re also now thinking about all the stores we’re opening all the stores.”

Key pieces: colorful corset dresses, several sweet petticoats and colorblocked beach-to-city knit dresses (a nod to the ’90s and 2000s); novelty knits (with sequins and bows); new faux-fur and wool leather jackets; bright pink corsets and taffeta mini dresses with dramatic train and bow details (or similar Victorian-style floral brocade mini dresses and dresses); a plethora of signature romantic floral and lace dresses, tops, rags and skirts; sequin-embellished A-line square mini dresses (or full-length sequin-covered floral maxi dresses).

The gist: the collection deliberately references many ideas, but as the brand continues to expand, its expanded aesthetic is sure to appeal to a broader customer base.
