Starbucks adds new tropical drinks and chicken breakfast sandwiches

If a tropical vacation isn’t on your calendar, then Starbucks offers a refreshing solution to that problem. On June 21, Starbucks unveiled some new menu items that are sure to brighten up everyone’s summer and transport you to an island oasis.

Two new items from the chain sound absolutely heavenly: the Pineapple Passion Fruit and the Paradise Drink. Paradise Drink features a coconut base with pineapple and passion fruit juices. The drink also includes real diced pineapple to dazzle you even more. Pineapple Passion Fruit is similar but lacks coconut milk.

“Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers drinks are like sunshine in a glass – the bright tropical flavors are radiant, happy and joyful. It’s the perfect summer sipping moment, no matter where you are,” said Raegan Powell, senior product developer for Starbucks Research and Development, who led the development of the new drink.

If you’re feeling hungry, Starbucks has a new bite for you, guaranteed to satisfy your sweet and savory needs. The new chicken, maple butter and egg sandwich is a hearty snack that could be your new go-to for breakfast and lunch (and possibly dinner, if we’re being honest with ourselves). It features white meat chicken and egg coated in breadcrumbs and topped with maple syrup on an oatmeal cookie.

The chain has also recently introduced more new products, including Cookies & Cream Cake Pop and Lime-Frosted Coconut Bar, which is described as “moist and chewy, with lime frosting and a white chocolate drizzle sprinkled with dried coconut.
