Twitter pounces to Gabriella Karefa-Johnson’s defense

Ye further found himself at the forefront of the fashion industry after bullying stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson on his Instagram account following the widespread condemnation of the PFW show promoting a “White Lives Matter” slogan sweatshirt on Monday night, which subsequently surpassed 17 million followers. After the show, the trailblazing stylist — who was the first black woman to style the cover of Vogue and has high marks on her numerous résumés — wrote on Instagram: “Indefensible act . No excuses, no art here.” (The New York Times’ Vanessa Friedman also quoted this quote in her review.) So Yeh posted a screenshot of Vogue’s editorial account Posted to his grid, it was followed by two images mocking her outfit, with captions such as “It’s not fashion people you say Ye Ima you ask Trevor Noah” [sic] and “I know ANNA HAAAATES THESE BOOTS.” In response, many fashion editors and industry figures slammed Ye in comments. Gigi Hadid, who often collaborates with Karefa-Johnson, wrote: “You wish you [sic] had some of her wisdom. You don’t know lol… If anything about you really makes sense, She’s probably the only one who can save you. As if the “honor” of being invited to your show should stop someone from giving an opinion..? Haha. You’re a bully and a joke.”
