SCIANNA AT THE ROYAL PALACE: A TOAST WITH THE ARTIST

What story is hidden behind a photographic shot? What was happening at that precise moment? Only those who stopped that moment (and those who were immortalized) hold this precious secret. Here, then, tonight’s appointment at the Royal Palace with Ferdinando Scianna is a special opportunity to discover part of those fascinating moments on display. Slices of our history that live on in the memory of the people who lived them.

We are in the final rush of the Ferdinando Scianna Viaggio Racconto Memoria exhibition, it will in fact close on Sunday, June 5. With the occasion of the last 10 days of opening, on Thursday, May 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. Ferdinando Scianna will be present to welcome guests and tell stories and anecdotes about his shots, sign catalogs at the bookshop, confirming the great success, especially of young people, for the photographic exhibitions, and sales of catalogs and volumes dedicated to the work of the great Sicilian photographer. Booked and non-booked visitors who attend the initiative will be offered a glass of bubbly.

The exhibition is curated by Paola Bergna, Denis Curti and Alberto Bianda, produced by the City of Milan and Civita Mostre e Musei, and in fact brings to light more than 50 years of Scianna’s work with an unpublished audiovisual document of the artist.
