LOUIS VUITTON SPRING-SUMMER 2023: THE MEN’S FASHION SHOW TRIBUTE TO VIRGIL ABLOH

If travel is the DNA of the Louis Vuitton maison, imagination is the heart. The hopes, ideas and dreams that take shape in our minds and somehow take us elsewhere. They heal us. The Men’s Spring-Summer 2023 collection was conceived and designed by Louis Vuitton’s Studio Pret-à-Porter Homme: after the untimely death of Virgil Abloh. The show, titled Strange Math is the first without Abloh’s supervision and saw a kind of macro wonderland materialize in the Cour Carré courtyard of the Louvre.

A fashion show-testament brought to its completion by the team that has worked with Abloh and grown with him. Virgil Abloh’s style is tangible in almost every model in the collection, from the white overcoat with purple flowers to the mohair cape. Kendrick Lamar gave a live performance just as the models walked the runway, sitting next to supermodel Naomi Campbell.
