Lululemon just dropped a line of performance hoods

Lululemon has had a full year – the past 12 months have seen the launch of their iconic Align leggings with pockets, the launch of their own line of sneakers, and today they’re finally launching two performance hijab styles. Whether you’re actually planning to work out in a Lululemon hijab or just want something lightweight, breathable and sweat-wicking to wear on vacation this summer, there’s no denying that the brand knows how to design comfort in butter-soft fabrics that fit the definition.

The release includes two styles, one of which is the Performance Hijab in black or blue ($42). Designed to be worn during workouts, the pull-on style features a no-needle design and an adjustable drawstring that stays completely still while you move. It’s available in two sizes: S/M or M/L.

Another, more traditional style is the OTM Scarf Bandana ($38), available in heather gray or pink. If you’re more interested in everyday wear or low-impact activities like yoga, weight lifting or walking, this is definitely an option you’ll want to choose. Rest assured, whichever you choose, it will be made with Lululemon’s ultra-lightweight and soft performance fabrics.

As we all know, the fashion world still has a long way to go when it comes to inclusivity – the options for performance hoods are very limited, so this is definitely a step in the right direction. Hopefully more brands in the sportswear space will follow suit and offer more options and styles.
