Best suits of the week:Nordstrom

For busy working women, a suit is often the easiest thing to put on in the morning. Generally speaking, this feature is not about women’s interview suits, which should be the most classic and basic — instead, this feature is about slightly different suits that are stylish and professional.

There are so many great suits on sale at Nordstrom’s anniversary sale, we’ve given them their own post. But while many are sold out, or down to lucky sizes, this affordable suit (available in pink and black) still comes in many sizes.

I like the cinched waist, and simple pants. I’ve noticed some bad reviews pointing out that the pockets turn out on your hips – since we’re returning to the trend of long and straight pants, I doubt we’ll see more of these sloping hip pockets. My $2 if you like something other than the pockets of a pair of pants: if they’re sewn, keep them sewn — you can also sew them yourself (or have a tailor do them).

The blazer is available in black and pink in sizes XXS-XXL; it’s listed for $119 during NAS, but will go back to $179 when the sale ends on July 30. The pants are available in sizes 00-16W. The pants are listed for $65, but will be $99 after the sale ends.
